The New Empowerment after Trauma Exposure (NEXT) Research Study 

Study Description: We are conducting the New Empowerment after eXposure to Trauma (NEXT) Study to learn about how we can help pregnant and postpartum women move forward from past traumatic experiences using Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET). NET helps people share their stories with a therapist who helps them understand how their experiences affected them through free virtual therapy.

Eligibility Criteria

• 18 years or older

• Pregnancy or had a baby no more than 12 weeks ago

• Read and understand English

• Live in Indiana

• Have had an event that cause trauma or lasting emotional pain

• Have a device with internet access and webcam capability

Cost: FREE! We will also compensate you for completing 3 questionnaires ($40 each, up to $120 for study) as well as $50 in baby supplies for completing last questionnaire
